Conversation on Sound Collage with Alina Oswald, Art & Understanding Magazine

http://aumag.org/wordpress/2015/04/15/stephen-mead/

The result is his new CD, Threnody for a Forgotten Plague, a collection of sung poems of lament dealing with the pain, suffering and loss brought by the early days of…

Help Us Beta Test

The cost is about 2,500.00 a month out of pocket for rent, utilities, internet, etc. (Not very sustainable out of my own pocket.) We'll be running the…

ligados a vários movimentos e principalmente ao surrealismo.

Durante o período pós-guerra,esses movimentos continuaram a existir

e certamente estão hoje misturados de alguma forma com manifestações

artísticas atuais, nas quais, nesse caso a…

Historic assemblages

Many of us think that assemblages were first constructed one century ago, when Pablo Picasso

created cubist constructions. Other names, attached to the art form are Marcel Duchamp,

Louise Nevelson, Robert Rauschenberg, Kurt Schwitters and (first using the name of

assemblage) Jean Dubuffet. For a more complete listing of 20th century assemblagists, see

wikipedia: Artists_primarily_known_for_assemblage.

But, looking from a different perspective, assemblages were created…
