To The Power Of N – Exhibition Catalogue

Blue Mountains Waste To Art Exhibition at Braemar Gallery

March 23, 2012 to April 1, 2012
The Waste to Art Competition and Exhibition is a regional event that Blue Mountains City Council has proudly been involved in for the sixth year. About

Joel Lambeth's collage work samples images from the maelstrom of popular culture, remixing them and recontextualising them in order to infuse them with personal meaning and describe intimate narratives. He has taken this bombardment of advertising ballyhoo and blended it with inspiration derived from various sources including the photomontage of Russian Constructivism and German Dada, to create work that is on one hand an autobiographical chronicle of his experiences, but that also serves as social commentary and cultural observation.
