Hello everyone. I'm the newbee.  Is there anyone out there? I found this group by accident, and I'm so glad I did.  First of all, I did not know there was an International Society for artists like me! Toying With Art Exhibit: Cameron Art Museum - Wilmington, NC at Wilmington, North Carolina

February 14, 2010 from 6pm to 7pm
Ongoing until March 28, 2010, this exhibit features artist made toys --99.9% are assemblage art and quite fascinating. I'm happy to say I have five pieces in this exhibit, but there are a total of 50 artists from around the globe participating. More about me

My real name is Cindy Fahnestock-Schafer. I'm a mixed media artist who specializes in assemblage and altered art. Recycling is very important to me. I use 99% discarded, recycled, trash, vintage, or found objects in my art. (Except the 1% glue it's all upcycled)

I'm also a freelance journalist and author of a children's fantasy novel. I live in Baltimore most of the time, but also in Danforth, Maine.  When I'm not working with my husband I am usually writing about Vintage Plastics, Vintage Items, Art, or Style.  I also mess around with graphics, but am far from a pro.

I'm so glad there is a society dedicated to others artists like myself. <center>
