Assemblage. My work deals with personal, and sometimes, emotive subjects. The way we connect to our past has always held a fascination for me and therefore exploring ways of encapsulating memories from childhood to present day has formed a basis of my art practice.
I discovered using found objects, personal memorabilia and text the perfect medium with which to instil a narrative to my work. The composition of the objects is an important process, bringing together the different elements to create new meanings.
Through my work I hope to invite the viewer to evoke memories of their own life or create their own interpretation.
